Alewife and Tennessee shad.....I heard lots of guys use bone with good results too.

tennessee shad and smoke shad. really don't think there is a bad color....
do you guys put split rings on them or tie directly to the bait? I just tried the split ring on there this weekend and found I could get it walk the dog incredibly easy with the split ring. I know its a popper and not a walking bait, but worked well and switched up the look.

I have done good on both, but the 1/4 is my preference.
